Wow! That close to the record? Amazing! Have you done a complete assessment of the car's damage yet? Was that your tire we see later on in the video? Car really looks great (despite damage!!) I'm a big fan! Best to you!
Well, we set the record in 2008 and for whatever reason, nobody's been able to beat the mark despite the extra 4 miles of pavement laid down over the last 3 years.
In 2009 we lost a boost hose on the start line and ran a 12:10.
In 2010 the release bearing on the clutch popped out really early in the race and we ran a 12:55.
The car we've had the last three years has been 100% capable of breaking that record by a healthy margin (11:15-11:30 I think), but unless it all goes right for you on race day, breaking records can be very elusive.
The chassis looks ok, but these other parts sustained damage:
splitter
headlight
front shock
front quarter panel
rear shock resevior
rear door
rear quarter panel
We'll get it all put back together eventually, and hopefully make some meaningful upgrades in the process.

Yep, the couple years of dirt hillclimb abuse really gave me some good ideas to make it hold up to minor hits. The IC piping was moved to the top, the oil cooler moved out of the fender, and the ACD unit was moved into the car.
With the hit we took the stock location IC piping would've been pinched & leaking, and the ACD reservior feed line likely would've been cracked. Gotta admit, after backing up off the rail, my initial intention was to find the next pull out to park the car. To my surprise, it still made boost, so I figured what the hell...lets go for it!
Its a fun one for sure - I just hope MWHC comes back and isn't on the same weekend as PPIHC next year.
