Yeah, I know it's not a huge deal, but Rick had recommended a mild shave a while back. I still am quite happy with how they work unshaved, but I'm not really worried about how long this set will last, with the ZII's coming out next year.
I think I *just* got your screen name.
I've had the wheels since March:

Your wheels were gray back then These were powdercoated by the previous owner.
I don't have a whole theme going like you do with all the orange stickers. But they were local, cheap, came with spacers, and came with 255 Dunlops that I can sell to some STR person... how could I say no?

Brake upgrades
The Goodridge lines and Girodisc front rotors are now on the car. I did a bed-in last night. Strangely, the HPS's think they are HP+'s, in reverse When they get hot, they start squealing, unlike the HP+ that is only happy when it's hot.
My sequence so far
-stock rotors, stock pads
-stock rotors, HPS
-stock rotors, HP+ (squeee)
-stock rotors, HPS again (squee when hot)
-Girodisc rotors, HPS again (squee when hot)
It's not a big deal, as they are only loud at autocross, just strange.
Quick seat mounting notes
So my setup is 2012-vintage Sparco Evos with Bride FG all-in-one rails+sliders.
I first installed it on the "tallest" setting, i.e. the setting that puts the seat closest to the headliner and would be best for a short person. But that doesn't work awesomely with the seatbelt bracket. It works well enough, but the bolsters of the seat are a little taller than the receptacle so the seatbelt thinks it's tense even when it isn't.
The seatbelt thing is the only downside of the current arrangement, thankfully. I was worried it would be too tall for my regular codriver (neological) but even at his height (6'1 I think) he has enough headroom. Yay not getting the SSL package.
The flipside is, if you move seats down a peg to the "middle" setting, you lose forward-back adjustment range, because the front part of the seat will catch on the rail:
So, yeah.. I might end up getting someone to fabricate a set of slightly taller seatbelt brackets, to get the receptacle closer to the side of the seat. Or find a different mounting option entirely. I don't daily the car though, so it's good enough for now.
next
I'm doing a NASA event in Richmond this weekend to get the Dunlops scrubbed in and double check that there are no clearance problems with the 9.5"s. After that, the long drive to Lincoln. Other than that the car is pretty much ready... I'd like to do a little bit of surgery on the front lip so I don't need the packing tape to hold it together (epoxy) but if I can't get to that, no big deal.
