Anyone run straight water for coolant?

I'm installing a new turbo. For the install I have drained the radiator and removed it. After the install I'm considering running distilled water with a bottle of redline water wetter rather than running 70/30 mix of H2O/Coolant.

My car sees 30 minute HPDE session regularly and I'd like to know if running straight water will be okay to do AND whether you think it will be better. Please let me know your experiences.

Supposably red line mixed with water is a better coolant. Much safer for everyone on the track incase a line fails! Just remember wind chill will lower temperatures in late fall and early spring were it gets cold.

Yep depends on your location/enviroment. But like Apex said it's is safer and does indeed run cooler. I personally prefer the royal purple ice compared to the redline as the redline turns into a gummy mess when it gets too hot it seems. Haven't tried the Amsoil stuff yet.
