Thanks everybody. I let out a huge sigh of relief when it fired up . Tonight I am gonna finish buttoning up the car and checking everything for a test drive tomorrow.

Sweet. Are you going to be doing the intense break-in?

Gonna get about 100 miles on my break in oil then dump it. Fresh oil. More miles. Then dyno time.

I think there is some truth to the idea of seating the rings before the motor sees too many miles. Something like let it run and idle get up to temp or so. Drive it around the block a few times - maybe 20 miles. Drain the oil and refill. Then get out and make some pulls under moderate boost. Just make sure you have a tune that can support that. That should seat the rings while the cylinder walls still have nice cross hatching.

There are so many ideas on breaking in a motor it makes my head spin. MA Performance sent a sheet with their break-in process. 100 miles with low vacuum no boost. After 100 miles start bring up the revs and boost.

Update: Well I wanted to finish up the car drive it today but I didn't get as far as I wanted. I ended up spending more time than I wanted to finishing up wiring inside the car. Several of my Defi gauge ends/plugs decided to crap out on me so I had to splice and solder new ends etc. I managed to button up little odds and ends on the interior/exterior as well. I finally got around to rebuilding the front calipers tonight. I installed all new seals and pistons (Girodisc) with some fresh Carbotech XP-20's.

I lack:
clutch and brake bleed
Clutch adjustment

After that she should be ready for a test drive.

Are those "Jack" decals custom or is there somewhere I can buy them generically? Love the idea!

Mini Update:

Car is 99% buttoned up and finally touching the ground. Brakes and clutch are bled. Adjusted the clutch pedal and topped off the fluids . Time to get some miles on it. I'll be taking it out this weekend.
