Blackenedwings '06 IX MR build thread
It ended up with a built TT1 Vette with a 1:15, Phil at a 1:18.9, Thai at a 1:20, and me at a 1:21.1. Not bad to have two EvoMers in the top 4 with a full crew of Corvettes representing.
It was hot and muggy out today, and I was having tire pressure issues with my R6s the whole day, but overall I was really pleased with my performance.
Thai is posting up his view of the track tomorrow... my freaking GoPro totally died on me. I put it mounted in the car, started it during my second session and when I got the car back noticed that it hadn't actually come on at all.
Although, Thai's footage probably won't even have me in it, since he was gridded one ahead of me and I never passed him, and although I'm slower than him still, I won't let him lap me!

Thanks dude. I was holding Phil within striking distance at 6/10ths ahead of me until our last session and he got in a fully built TT1 Corvette's draft and blasted me out by over a second. I still managed 2nd in class (out of 5 cars) and won my first tire ever. Woo! I was 4th fastest out of 25 cars, although Thai beat me.

Another win and track record for meh this weekend at summit main. Beat out the old record by a few tenths. The m3 was holding me up a little. My fastest lap was the lap after I passed him, but tires were to hot by then. I caught up to phil but he end up 1 seconds faster than me in later session. Good thing he's not in my class.
Just got a glimpse of the livery being designed for the car today. I think it looks really good. It should be completed in the next couple of weeks, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make Pocono at this rate. I had a bunch of things fall out from under me all at once including my tow vehicle breaking down, the friend who I was going to stay with for Pocono having a family emergency, and all of my brakes needing replacements. I'll keep the NE crew updated and hopefully I'll know for sure one way or another this week.
