Nice vids!

Unfortunately, I have to wait until next year to get on a real track, but I'll be fully prepared!

I'll be trying to run with NASA NE, NARRA TT, Real Time Attack, and maybe a GTA event. All depends on funds!

Likewise, its a bit of a hike, but I've heard its totally worth it.

I am fighting the problem of my catch can filling up like crazy right now. I am not 100% on my solution yet.

Id love it if mine just filled the can, instead its just blowin it out. Checked the oil and its a little higher than just the normal .5 over so thats likely why. That and apparently the baffeling in the can sucks(allstar can).

after i installed the ATP GTX3076R, the rear PCV valve was too restrictive and didn't let enough pressure out, and blocked my oil drain. so i removed the PCV and capped off the hose to the intake mani and ran a larger hose from the rear valve cover to a breather can. i put some steelwool in it also. when i run high boost (26 psi) i have to drain the breather can every session. the liquid is very thin and mostly water. the catch can for the front runs back into the intake before the turbo, and i only have to drain that one once every several events.

it seems like mine is filling up with water (vapor that condense in the catch can). from cruising, street driving and driving to track the liquid that comes out is kinda clear amber color, thin and runny. smells like gas almost. but running on track, the liquid that comes out is a little darker but still runny and smells like gas.

Mwahaha. The rumor is true, the car is at the shop and the build should be starting in a couple of days. I'll update my first post, but the short news is it will be a built 2.0L with OEM crank, Cosworth everything else. (pistons/rods/etc) I'll be getting an Exedy twin-plate clutch and upgrading all my gauges at the same time. Depending on what the total cost looks like, I may also be doing the E85 conversion at the same time. I will continue with the BBK-Full, but I talked to Chad and picked up an anti-surge cover from him.

I have a few other big announcements in the wings, but I need to finalize them.

I would think twice about e85 route unless its available at ALL the tracks you frequent. Lots of guys in our group have gone thru the E85 phase and all have discovered the same thing, its more trouble than its worth. Even if you have a trailer and room to haul the stuff its still a huge PITA.

Yeah, that's my biggest concern, is finding an easy way to haul the crap. That being said, the power gains are so stupid high along with the cooler temps that I can't ignore the advantages. I am also a bit worried about how fast I'll go through it. E85 is do-able for time trial / time attack, but not for say just HPDE. I already burn through 80% of a tank a session on 93 octane.

I wasn't even going to bring up the consumption issue. Power comes from the fuel, as I'm sure you know. If you're burning thru 80% of a tank of 93 at your current level and you intend to make MORE power than what you're making now on e85, given the fact that it takes about 30% more e85 to make the same power then you're gonna need to bring a tanker truck with you to events.

Your car would be a beast on E-85. What is funny I find E-85 no more of a pain than regular unleaded. I guess where I differ from most track guys is that I don't turn crazy amounts of laps, during a 2 day NASA event I will maybe use 15-20 gallons total. I also tow my car with a truck and a trailer with a storage box so taking 30 gallons of fuel is not a issue.

Please go E-85.
