I haven't been emailed the dyno sheet yet, but I have the car back and it's a monster now. Hill at Agile tuned the car with speed density on Friday, generating 444 awhp and 378 wtq on pure 93 octane with 0 knock. The peak gains really don't give the car justice as the gains in area under the curve are insane. Where it used to peak the torque and then drop off like a rock, it holds torque steady now through the rev range. The parts improved spool, so its spooling 200-300 rpms faster than before, and accelerates like crazy. I'm really happy with the end results, and I'll post the dyno sheet tomorrow.

Curious, what tire / wheel combination is that, and how did it work out. In the pics it looks like a relatively narrow wheel with very wide tires. I have as similar RR setup, but I think I need to switch things around, so I was curious when I saw these pics.

I'll be at Summit Point, WV on Nov 3rd-4th.

The wheel/tire combo right now is Volk RE30 18x9 rims with 245 NT05s. Previously I had 255 wide Dunlop Star Specs. Ideally I want to go to 18x9.5 rims at some point, but the real issue atm is the tire compound not the width. I'll be going to NT01s when I finish abusing this set of NT05s.

Interesting for me. Slightly OT on your build, sorry. How did you like the NT05s compared to equivalents that you used? I used a set of NT01s on track, and am needing to try something new, maybe less sticky because of suspension limits. I was thinking of the RS3s, but I have a set of NT05's on use on the street and I could just beat them on track. They are cheap enough.

By all means, come on out and hang. I'll be running in DE3 for this event, honda-guy normally does TT I think. I'll have a few other friends out there too. My tuner's beast WRX is down right now for a motor re-build for next season already, so he won't be there.

Well, I have been running street compounds so far, I'm about to move up to NT01s, but out of all the tires I've run so far the NT05s are my favorite. They don't get greasy, even after silly abuse, and are much stickier than the Star Specs in the dry. The Star Specs are far better in the wet though.

I had my last DE of the season last weekend. I had a few issues to contend with but the event was super fun. It was very cold, around 30 degrees on Saturday, and it wasn't a race weekend, so we had very little rubber on the track. Basic info, the car makes 445 whp at 26.5 psi now, I was running ~24 psi on Saturday, and I was on a fresh set of NT05 200 tw street tires. My goal this season was to get my TT provisional license, and I was cleared for a check-ride for my license at the end of this event, but I wasn't able to do it because of a mechanical failure.

The car drove perfectly except for an issue with my o2 dump missing a gasket. When the dump was delivered it didn't have the gasket it was supposed to have, so in order to make the event my shop sealed up the dump with sealant and I prayed for the best. This proved to be ill founded as the sealant blew out causing a massive exhaust leak pre-turbo. I was still able to finish most of my runs but the spool was drastically effected and by the end of my runs Sunday I had basically 0 boost. Not a big deal to fix, but worth keeping in mind.

We were running Summit Point Main which is my most familiar track. I went pretty easy this weekend, just trying to get out there and have fun and be clean. I was leaving a lot of speed on the table particularly in the following areas:

Turn 1: Early braking and late on throttle, this was particularly tough because of the exhaust leak.

Turn 2: Coasting at the top of 4th, huge time lost here.

Turn 4: I've got a lot more speed here, but by the end of the weekend I was comfortably taking this in 5th at WOT with only a small tap of the brakes to settle the car.

Turn 10: I took this REALLY slow all weekend. I had a nasty off here earlier in the year, and didn't feel like tempting fate. I know I can take this turn significantly faster.

Also, I've just started getting used to the Weir Performance rear diff in the car. I'm so used to the understeer and plowing from getting on throttle pre-apex that it's a real shock to get on throttle and have the car point through the turn. I have really just started playing with this, mostly on low speed turns I'm more comfortable with like Turn 5. Super fun, and once I really get this down my times should drop. Also my times through the carousel weren't great because of tire limits. Next season I'll be moving to NT01 R-compounds.

Anyway, by Sunday I was consistently in the low 1.26s and dipping several laps into the high 1.25s. My coach's best time in my car on this track is high 1.24s, although in fairness he had me in the car (180 lbs) and it was his first time there. I'm convinced I could get my car into the 1.24s on street tires, but I wasn't pushing for a DE event, especially at the end of the year.

My GoPro fritzed out on my second day, so I only have footage from Day 1, but I got at least a few decent laps on camera. Hope you all enjoy. I think these are from my 3rd session on Saturday.
