Good job Aaron!

Are NASA TT events typically that small on the east?

^ it's beginning of the season and we have some regular TT'er that hasn't complete their winter build yet. we were averaging mid 20's participants at each events last year. i'm sure more will turn up at the next few events.

In the east we tend to either race or TT. We have many TT/Instructors. This region does not take advantage of super sizing as much as other regions do which is better for the guys that pareticipate as their contingency chances are increased.

Yup, the packs will pick up I'm sure. It worked out nicely for my first event though. Bunch of cool guys running with NASA NE, and I had a great time.

Well, my time for TT2 on Saturday wasn't taken as the track record. NorthEast decided to merge the old classes (TTU-TTA) records into the new classes. That meant my 1:31.9 was 1.4s off the TTS record from last year. I know I can beat it if I get to run the configuration again, but its a bummer to not have the TT2 record.

1:31 is still a great time. I tend to do best when I'm relaxed and not even thinking about times.

Thanks a lot! I was honestly going very gently. It was my first TT event, and first time on anything better than a 200 tw tire, and my second time on the track. I'm confident I can take a ton of time off the next time I'm back. I'm interested to see what I turn on Summit Point Main next month, as its my home course and the higher temps will make my R6s at least closer to competitive.

At my shakedown event at Lightning DE4 I was having boost creep issues related to my o2 dump. I turned the boost down to wastegate boost and ran better fuel for the weekend and the car was alright. However for my first TT event at Thunderbolt my tuner did some tests with the o2 dump and couldn't get it to stop creeping, so he hacked out the dump from the housing and welding in a custom dump that removes a high backpressure section and redynoed the car at the lower boost levels well under my max for TT2. The change to the dump fixed the boost creep and I was able to hit my target levels and run the whole event without creeping. Since he was worried about the creep showing up during competition he tuned me very conservatively with a good bit less power than I can run by my weight limits.

I'll be running TT2 with Mid-Atlantic at Hyperfest this month, and since we're confident the creep issue is fixed, the car is being re-dynoed with a bit more boost and timing on E85 instead of 93 octane to hit the max allowed P/W for my class. I didn't want to run E85 for TT until I was confident in my fuel consumption levels, but I am confident I'll be able to bring enough corn to get me through a weekend of TT. Even running R6s, the tires fall off fast enough that I'm losing tenths by the 7th lap or so, so no point in pushing past that. After these R6s are done, I'll be moving to A6s anyway, and that means even fewer laps needed for a good time.

I can get 45+ gallons in VP jugs, plus a tank of corn in the car so I should be good. Hyperfest is a one day TT event, so I won't need that much, but I'm bringing extra just in case my math is off. I'm going to try and take video this time out, and if anybody is visiting at Hyperfest make sure to come over to the Agile Auto crew at the paddock and say hi!

Just got my finalized TT2 E85 tune finished today. Torque ended up almost bang on the same as my 93 tune, but Hill squeeked the last 10 whp I could run in, so I'll be on kill mode for the class at Hyperfest. I'm bringing extra brake rotors and pads because I'm going to be braking deep on Turn 1. I hope it gets hot enough that my R6s are competitive because I'll be going up against a bunch of built Corvettes!

Thanks dude, I'm going to need it. Apparently Phil's Element Tuning turbo FR-S is running TT2, and a pack of Corvettes.

I'll be the only AWD car representing for TT2.

That FRS is pretty damn quick. Huge wing and splitter, and 350hp. The splitter had so much downforce it broke the mounts. You have a handful to deal with, lol. Be like Thai and try to draft behind it!

Good luck Aaron. You will have your hands full for sure. Those vettes are no joke from what I've seen, neither is Phil.

Lol thanks dude. If I can at least keep close to these guys I'll be happy. It's my second TT event ever, so if I'm anywhere near guys like Phil I'm doing good!

It kinda sucks that we only get one day of TT and only 4 sessions (warmup and 3 timed). Then they put our 3rd session as the last track time of the day, so we don't get off track until freaking 6 PM. Oh well, after what happened last month at Thunderbolt, I won't be leaving early and trusting my time holds this time.

Also the TT field is going to be huge for this event... 27-28 cars so far.
