They hold some "pro" ice race events in Canada on flooded land courses but the entry is really expensive. The first time I went wheel to wheel ice racing on 1.5 mile long courses in NY the entry was $20 for a 15 minute practice session and two 20 minute races!

 

Our ice events (CWSCC) are $20 and you get 5-6 practice runs and 12-16 timed runs plus a few fun runs at the end. Its run just like an Auto-X, but courses are longer and faster than most AutoX events.
