Ice Racing at Lake George
Here is my in car video driving my old Audi. I started ice racing in this car and then later ice raced my "new" 2003 Evo 8 before building it for NASA Super Touring 2. I have not learned to edit video so start watching at the 3 minute mark to avoid pace laps

Maybe not this year. Lake George does not always freeze well enough to hold the event. I have been lucky to have raced there 3 times in 10 years. Lake George was always the longest - fastest course AMEC would run historically with really long straights. This year 2009 was marginal for ice conditions and we had to run a shorter track.

Here is a run at Monticello Motor Club when I beat the top Rally cars by several seconds in my old bucket of bolts Audi Quattro!

Here is a good high speed ice race at Lake Canadarago I did in 2009. When I first started ice racing this is the kind of track I remember. Lately there has been either warm temperatures or too much snow to plow a long course like this.

I would say you beat the drivers not the cars.. And they only came to do testing for the next tarmac rally that was coming up. so the car were in tarmac rally setup with old used ice tires.

Studded tires or non? I ran one ice race back in my silver '04 but it was on unstudded tires on slick wind swept glare ice and not much fun. On spiked tires with some grip I bet it would be amazing!
