Not really, I have never had a good way of timing myself. I am looking into Harry's Lap Timer for the Iphone, the whole setup is pricy (for an Iphone app anyways) if it doesn't function well, so I am not sold yet. If I can find enough good feedback on it I may jump at it and be able to give you an answer next time I get there.

we use harrys lap timer on several of out TT cars. it works very well at lap timing. its within a tenth of the transponder time always. its lap data from the accelerometer isnt as useful as a true stand alone DAQ like the AIM SOLO or the traqmate though... somewhat slow data rate due to the hardware the internal GPS has. but for 30 dollars, its a lot cheaper then the 900 dollar traqmate

Do you have video? If you do, you can use reference points and get a general idea of your times.

No I don't...but it would be a lot cooler if I did!

Here is a couple old photos of me on the track though.

Notice the inside rear tire?

I know those corners

40F that day and raining. Was wearing 3 layers and warmer gloves..

What are your spring rates? And what is the current setting on the rear sway bar?

Typically, its too stiff of a RSB setting.

In that pic I was still on stock suspension with a Hotchkis set on full stiff. Current setup is 15k front 16K rear, same sway on middle setting. Not sure if it still lifts a leg or not, just happened to be a photographer that day at the track with his friend.

Ah, that will do it.

Should be in better shape now with those rates.

I would think so, but do you think I could possibly need more sway bar? Front is still stock as well, should I swap them for a set of Whitelines or something different?

I go by feel at that point. Do you have the rear diff upgrade? How does corner entry feel? Mid-corner (on and off power)? Corner exit?

Needs the rear diff, along with the rest of the drivetrain rebuilt...before I break something, knock on wood.

Lack of TRE rear diff and the open front is definitely hurting me.

Turn in is like a go cart, LOVE IT
Mid corner on feels good but pushes
Mid corner off feels good, neutral with some roll
Exit = needs to rotate better ie rear diff

I was asking as a general rule, I realize its difficult to give an opinion without knowing what the car feels like. I was just thinking maybe there is a magic sway combo that I should have.
