Official 2013 Formula One Discussion Thread
Practice coverage is fairly limited, typically only practice 2 being shown. It's not a huge issue to me, I rarely watched practice as it was pretty dull. Just pointing out that NBC is not going to show all 3 practice sessions like Speed sometimes did.
Races are all live, though scattered between NBC, NBCSports, and CNBC. Could be worse.

The only time Speed aired all three practice shessions was at the US GP in Austin. Speed aired FP2 and quali only for as long as I've been watching.
Can't make any predictions for this race as we have absolutely no idea of the pecking order yet. Can't wait though.

Low risk prediction: Vettel / RBR for the race/constructor wins for Austrailia.
^ Thats dedication right there!

Crazy thing is, RBR are the slowest down the straights, yet quickest through all 3 sectors!
Should be a really good race. should c ferrari, lotus with possibly the merc's battling with vettel & his sister webber.
mcclaren a bit off pace?!?!?! Sutil!! def quicker than PDR.

Hami's move is starting to look not so bad. And McLaren definitely seems to be on the back foot, they probably should have continued the evolution of last year's car instead of doing the 2 car/ 2 team philosophy.

Is it weird that when you mentioned PDR, I first thought of Pedro Dela Rosa ... and then Paul DiResta.
But that has always been the RedBull thing, their average speed is always higher than the competition in the corners although they are slow on the straights. So If a team can pass them early in the race they could potentially hold them back through the entire race.

Aby: I know that you know that I know that you know what we are talking about ... we're just stating the obvious.
Ok, so it seems Red Bull still has the pace (#1) and probably isn't pushing it at 10/10ths just yet, anyone want to venture a guess which may be the 2nd fastest constructor in the grid?

Hey, with a car like Hungry Heidi, how can Seb lose?
Looks like a three way battle for second behind RBR - Merc, Lotus, Ferrari.
Hamilton's move to Merc is looking downright prophetic.

Can merc pull this off? IMO, their race strategies & tire management hasnt been the greatest.....
Hopefully hami brought some insight...
i know ross brawn was the mastermind behind old schumi's championships & brawn-merc season.....but they have boned it a bunch in the past few seasons...
looking to see sutil do well
