Grojean did a sim race run yesterday and said it was extremely difficult getting the tires to last. His longest run was 22 laps on the Medium compound. He stopped 4 times in teh 66 lap sim.

I'm sure the low temps have a lot to do with all the tire deg, I have a hard time believing its going to be like this all season.

dunno if any of you guys have seen this, but it's pretty cool to watch the injectors of an F1 engine at work (looks like a vid of an old Renault V8 F1 engine). Oh, and click on the little speech bubble to hide the posters idiotic annotations.

Can't say I'm really surprised, I believe he does bring some sponsor money with him from Medion. I still would have rather seen that seat go to Bianchi.

Razia lost his seat at Murussia due to his sponsors not paying up. They dropped him and picked up Bianchi almost instantly. Good to see him get a seat, even if it is in a sub-parr car.

Looks like Merc finished testing with the fastest time.. Not that it really means anything. I think they did the same thing last year.

Less than 2 weeks til OZ.

^?

NBC will be airing practice and quali leading up to the race just as Speed did, I don't understand your comment...

Did you guys watch the F1 preview show last night, it was on at 9pm EST on NBCSN. It was only a half hour show. It was them followed by Mobil1 The Grid, which used to also air on Speed.

I've tried to watch the practice sessions, but I usually fall asleep.

Practice coverage is fairly limited, typically only practice 2 being shown. It's not a huge issue to me, I rarely watched practice as it was pretty dull. Just pointing out that NBC is not going to show all 3 practice sessions like Speed sometimes did.

Races are all live, though scattered between NBC, NBCSports, and CNBC. Could be worse.

Thanks on the heads up on Mobil1 The Grid, I used to religiously watch that show on SpeedTV. I guess the moved to NBC Sport too. I missed the F1 preview show.

But 1st race is less that a week away.

So predictions on which constructor and driver wins the 1st race in Australia. Let's hear it guys ...
