Ok billy I must admit I didnt think you would be referring to a decade ago when he
was in nothing better than a billy cart, fare cop.
Do you remember when Vettle took out Webber when Webber was lapping him and
would of posted I think his very 1st victory!!!Now thats what I call hard to pass.

^ meh. The race was only intersting the first 10 laps and the last 10 laps. Oh and when RB effed up Webber's pit stop. Good on him for getting back out on track and scored points after that. I thought they would retire the car after they told him to kill the being.
It really looked like Lotus has found the right setup and the new Kevlar tires work well on that. Red Bull as usual got it right but we know they have the best chassis and have for the past 3 years. Was really rooting for Kimi there but as he said post race..needed 2-3 laps more.
Silverstone would have been radically different with the Kevlar tires. Im glad they switched...and wish it had been doen several races ago. Seems it takes a real safety issue to get things done in F1. That is now and has been the history even before Ecclestone. Im glad the FIA finally showed some ***** here.
Funny thing is 3 years ago Schumacher was roundly criticized for saying the tires were **** and to get the best rubber so they could actually race full bore through out the race. So we get , quite frankly, second tier rubber that the teams have to guess and manage very carefully. I mean the cars are lapping at 5-6 second slower than qualifying, where they are using the same rubber as in the race...c'mon L< embarrassed > and it took 4-5 tires blowing at high speed in the same race to get things done. We are very lucky not to have lost a driver or 2 .
Im not thinking that Kimi Raikonnen goes to RB after this year as Lotus is really coming on strong and he would be # 1 there. He would have to come in as #2 to Vettel and Vettel will more than likely pull some of the same stunts he did on Webber 2 years ago when he deliberately took him out. Vettel is really a great driver who will literally do anything to win. But in my opinion, he belongs in NASCAR where taking people out is condoned, practiced and encouraged to promote the "sport". That doesnt belong in F1. Period..
In looking at the start, it is very clear that both RB cars pull out faster than the Mercedes ( Hamilton ) So is it better engine mapping or are they using KERS at the start, again with better mapping on that? I do remember RB was investigated for their engine mapping before... Is it possible they are using different ratios in the tranny? Remember both RB and Lotus use the Renault engine as well. What about the Tranny?
From the slow speeds at the start aero would only have a minor part in it. And that would tend to slow the car down. And IIRC the Mercedes started moving at exactly the same time...lets Lewis off the hook...
Cant be traction control as that was outlawed. Supposedly....
Any way my 02C...Fire away i have my flame suit on
