R U Faster Than A Redneck ?
"You beat one of our drivers and stable cars (with over $100k into them) with a mildly tuned low HP import (or stock gallardo) on a track with 5 turns and long straits. . . Now race a one-off custom race car piloted by a professional driver - oh and we get the inside line for turn 1....god our american muscle is good"

There really aren't any secrets behind many of the cars driven by the rednecks. Many have been featured and well-detailed in multiple car magazines over the years. As KevinD indicated Finch and several of the other rednecks frequently run in timed track events all over the country. In fact, many will be competing in the Southern Slam at Carolina Motorsports Park on April 20th and 21st. That event is not wheel to wheel, but it is timed and gives you the opportunity to find out for yourself if you are faster than a redneck.
That event is also a qualifying event for the 2013 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational. Cars that qualify for the OUSCI are invited to be on display at the OPTIMA car corral at SEMA all week and then participate in a track event at Spring Mountain Motor Ranch, which is filmed for TV. The 2012 OUSCI will air on SPEED on March 10th at 11AM ET and you can watch a preview of it here-
Todd's Evo ran great at both our Faceoff event in Arlington (which was also televised on SPEED) and the OUSCI. Believe it or not, there are no shortage of Camaro owners who want to run in the OUSCI, but it is always a struggle to get import owners to participate. For those of you not located on the East Coast, we also have a Faceoff qualifying event at Road America in June, which will also be filmed for TV. KevinD can speak to their experience at these events, but I would encourage anyone interested to give it a shot.

Make sure and check out the Speed Channel this Monday at 9 pm to the SSP GT-R go heads up against the Redneck Mafia for $10,000 !

The car he’s driving – a Year One built, 600-horsepower 1969 DynaCorn Camaro – is reminiscent of Trans Am racing’s glory days. It’s an overflow of performance, as Schneider tries to harness the car’s LS-7 crate engine, custom competition camshaft, GMPP dry-sump oiling system, fabricated headers, Tremac five-speed transmission and its Quadralink, four-link race suspension. It’s a car built for competitive road racing.
