R U Faster Than A Redneck ?
The episode w/the BMW station wagon was good as well. Never thought it would have won.
Didnt think I was going to like the show but its OK for sure. The host's humor has to make you chuckle
Only caught the B5 S4 Avant and S2000 episode so far. My brother used to have that gen S4 and I've always had a soft spot for them. Really cool that it won.
Was wondering when an Evo would make it onto the show. No brainer the GTR dominated.

I'm down here in Australia and I'm laughing my head off.
Absolutely hilarious series. I just wished we had the same thing here - could do with $10k pocket money to spend
Anyway, I hope some Evo boys would step up with a stroked engine and a borg warner turbo and go against their meanest pony in the shed!
So, if any of you guys went to the show and came out with $10k, would you spend it on the Evo?

The trick here is, the tires have to be 200 TW. Those 3200lb, 600 hp+ cars, even if they are running 315s, are still running fairly not that great tires. A lot of the cars they've shown are on BFG KDWs, which are nowhere near a proper UHP summer tire - Dunlop Z1/Z2, Hankook RS3, etc. An AWD car with 255+ tires, good powerband, a good suspension setup and a good driver should really be able to put the wood to the "redneck" cars who are not going to be able to put down power anywhere near as well.
You can see this by how well the STi did even with almost no power adders and how well the Audi wagon did.
Which cars were on KDWs? I know several of the rednecks are sponsored by BFG and have been running their new g-Force Rival for a while. I'd still like to see some Evos make it to Road America for our Faceoff event. Finch, Granger and the Childress brothers will all be there with cars, ready to give you a chance to prove you're faster in front of a TV audience

They just looked like KDWS from the outside. If they are losing sometimes AND they are on Rivals already that's even better for the competitors.

That's the weekend of MAP's Proving Grounds at BIR. shoot.
People aren't thinking about this right. You don't need a stroked engine or a bigger turbo. In fact, on a short course like that, a bigger turbo would probably be worse than stock. The top speeds are low 100s and if you had something big you'd probably be spending a lot of time waiting.

Xplosiv, if the rednecks are all running 200+ treadwear tires, it somewhat negates any horsepower advantage they might have. Why not come up to our event at Road America and take a real shot at them? People can post on facebook pages until their fingers fall off, trying to get on the show. The production company that films RU Faster Than a Redneck also films our events and nothing anyone posts on facebook will carry the same weight as a live audition at the Optima Faceoff (which could also get you invited to SEMA).
