If you're wrapping & heat protecting that area, be sure to cover the ABS sensors.

I always wrapped the ABS sensors in that DEI stuff. Never touched the boots (OEM); never had problems. I think the OEM's are a bit more resistant then the whitelines that I keep seeing pictures of burnt.

^ Agree. I didn't wrap the sensor it self because its close to the hub and behind the ams duct cover but I did wrap the abs wire with aluminum tape even though they didn't look like the heat had any effect on them prior wrapping them.
