where to mount external shock canister
i sent out my FortuneAuto 510 coilovers to get upgraded to two ways adjustable and external canister. i wont get them back for two weeks, but i searched around to see where people mount the canister but didn't find much. also, the front shocks are non inverted which means the hose will come out the bottom. so not sure how i'm going to run the canister to the top and not able to remove it, there's not much room.
as for the rear canister, i think ill just leave them outside the trunk area. don't want to cut holes into the chassis.
please share your setup and mounting solution if have them. thanks.

Rears are easy. Pick up a rear strut bar and zip tie them on there.
As for the fronts that does sound like it may be a problem. Hmmm...is there quick disconnects like most shocks I see with external reservoirs? If so then you dont need to fit the whole reservoir through a hole but just the line going to the reservoir.

for the fronts, get a long enough hose, run them along/above the axle and up to the strut tower bar. clamp them there. The idea is to have easy access to make adjustments. I would also reconsider drilling holes for the rears (or buy QDs before it's too late) and mount them in the trunk. I have mine attached to a $2 Lowe's bracket bolted to the rear sheet metal/x-bracing.
best regards

this shows how I have it crisscrossed with the brake line and
zip-tied to the bracket. also notice the extra protective padding.

Rears on the control arm, keep the mesh so as to protect the can from rock/debris. You can zip tie it with the fat zip ties or any number of solutions. Fronts if they're off the bottom as you say then ya you'll have to see how much rope they give you. I wouldn't be opposed to making a hole just big enough in the back/inside of the strut tower then following it up with a grommet/firewall seal.

the shocks i'm getting are non-inverted, which means the hose will come out the bottom.
similar to this setup, but i requested the longest hose they have which is 42".
this is the inverted setup where the hose comes out on top.

FA did not mentioned about quick disconnect, but wouldn't you lose some fluid or get air into the system with QD?

not sure I understand this(?)

thanks for the pictures. what coilovers do you have? any better pictures how the hose come out the bottom of the shocks and how your ran it in the engine compartment? since i wont have quick disconnect, i would have to try to get the canister up to the top without removing the line, and the canister are large.
if i can get QD, then i would cut holes in the trunk and run it in the car, but i don't wan to cut hole as big enough to pass the canister through. i have roll bar with welded strut bar, so i can mount it there if i run it in the car.

for the fronts, my "ropes" attach to the side of the shock (near the bottom) so different than yours but no big deal. from the looks of your canisters you won't have any problems running them along near the axle and up, there's plenty of room there and the cans don't look any bigger than what me and others have (nearest I can tell).
imho, drill holes in your trunk big enough for the canisters (2"dia?), there's some nice grommets out there (JEGs maybe?) for exactly that purpose.
