Official 2014 F1 Discussion Thread
Smart man! I can't wait to hear Lewis second guessing the strategy throughout the entire race if he's not in the lead though.
I've got to say both the USGP and Brazil races were pretty exciting in their own ways. I just wished Brazil allowed more passing with a slightly longer DRS zone. I think Lewis would've been able to make the pass on Nico if that were the case.
As far as the WDC is concerned this has to be one of the more exciting seasons given double points at the end. There seems to be multiple scenarios where Lewis or Nico can win. If anyone of them doesn't finish the race due to a mechanical then the other one will win it. If Nico finishes behind Lewis, it's over. Lewis can afford to finish behind Rosberg depending on what position Nico finishes.
Or Lewis could just take out Rosberg in turn 1 aka Senna style and solidify his win.
Har Har Har ....

Does anyone know the engine status for Lewis and Nico? I.E. how they distributed their 5 units through the year? Wondering if Lewis or Nico has a fresh engine for this weekend...
Sorry no clue on that .... but

It seems Caterham will be running at the last GP. How can you not cheer for them now? I hope Kobay gets to end the year with that team.

Did a little F1 racing this last weekend. (1/10th scale) I can't afford to race real F1 cars.
It was a big race that brought in guys from all over the country. Rocking my ETS sweatshirt as I (Robert) took TQ and the win.

nice. congrats. they gave you a rolex too.
those F1 don't look like 2014 specs with ugly nose.
i used to race nitro rc cars back in the day. mostly dirt oval, but some 1/8 buggy also.

Nope. Rules are just that it has to be a 2000+ model body style.
Ya, we have a bunch of on and off road tracks locally. 1 giant 1/4 scale outdoor track as well.
that looks awesome. never did a road course before. are there advantages to different body style? not sure if earo are significant at that scale or speed. do you have videos?
Drag doesn't come into play until around 50 MPH and meaningful downforce isn't generated until north of 80, even at scale.
CG height does matter though, so the lower everything is, the better.

Seems like Kobay will be at the last race:
