Rear offset for track use

So i'm having trouble wrapping my head around this. I'm considering picking up a set of NT03s in 18 x 9.5 and running 285/30s. I'd really rather not run a 25mm spacer up front so I'm fairly set on getting the +27 offset up front and running a smaller spacer. My confusion lies in the rear offset. Some seem to run +27 some seem to run +40 with another spacer or no spacer. It would seem that the +27 would help clear the rear link better and avoid that issue, but does it then push out too far to clear a 285 without major modifications? I'd like to be able to rotate front to rear, but i'm not real keen on destroying the rear fender to do so. Since this is for track purposes only (and this is pretty much the only section of this forum I lurk in) I figure this would be the best place for the answer. Thanks in advance!

285's on a 9.5 seems big. Why not look at a 10 or 10.5" Wheel. Sounds like you might need to look at different offsets front and rear. I am running a 30 offset on a 10.5 wheel. I need a 25mm spacer up front. So my effective offset is +5. Much more and I will be rubbing the coilovers.

Interested on how this works out for you.

I started with this thread and then went from there to confuse the issue.

From what I read, I know i'm good either way on the fronts. Just trying to figure out the rears. As the +27 clearly works but I'm not sure about working with the 285s. As far as the width it's either 9.5 or 10.5 (for these wheels) and I fear with a 10.5 I'll just be running into more issues as they only come in a +30 offset and I'd have to beat the **** out of the fenders to make that happen out back.
