Long story short.... I have been calling Spence Weir of Weir Performance since February trying to get either the 12 plate or the 16 plate rear diff upgrade. I either get the answer of everything is backordered, or waiting to make a production run. In the last few months I get no answer, and no call back when I leave a message.

So.... does anyone know of a shop that may have some of these laying around? I'd rather not have to pay the extra money to send the diff out, as I can do the work myself.

funny, I called him today. He was saying 2 weeks on the 12 plate and probably never on the 16 plate. bummed....

 

Ya.... he gave me the two weeks answer back in March.

 

He told me 4 weeks ago they were making a production run of the 12 plate ...just no release date...he did say they were making" plenty"...I'll give it 2 weeks then talk to Jon @ TRE

 

FFTEC motorsports just gave me the same answer....back ordered for quite awhile but available in 2-3 weeks.

I think it is time to bite the bullet and get Jon @ TRE to do his magic on mine as I do not believe the Weir 12 plate is gonna show in any reasonable time frame.

 

That sucks. Well that may be the route I'll go once I finish up my season with VIR in July. I just hate to spend the money to have someone else do the job when I am capable of doing it if I had the plates.

 

Great news for everyone !! The Evo 8+9 12 plate kits have been made by Weir.

He doesn't make the 16 plate kits anymore. There wasn't enough interest.

 

Bah, it's like AP not making a rear kit but they do for the E92. We just need to get organized .

Well order the 12 plate today. Sucks that I couldn't use it this season.

 

My 12 plate is on its way here. Shout out to Spencer Weir for still supporting the Evo platform and the EVO-7-8-9 in particular.
