second trackday fun!

So my first trackday was fun and all but managed to boil my fluid and somehow never was able to get full stiffness on the brakes so ended at 3 sessions.

This time around i added:
Goodridge SS braided brake lines
Raybesto ST43 F/R Pads with girodisc titanium backing plates
StopTech F/R slotted rotors
Cobb AP with a protune-(Mtuned)
ETS intake
Tomei test-pipe

All i have to say is that i really was able to feel how capable the car really is. The first time around i was a bit new to everything that i forgot to set my JRZ's to the settings recommended by Ryan Gates since i purchased them from him.

Now that i set everything up and had a more than capable braking set-up, i felt like i was flying around the track. Everything was smoother, quicker, and more responsive!

When i got the nitto NT05s up to temp the car felt like it almost had rear wheel steering, because the rotation was so drastic this time around. It was unreal.

The bite on the st43's is insane! I have about 10k miles on the nt05's including the first trackday; so they are nicely worn in but i have a feeling im going to need something stickier to get the full advantage of these brakes. It was way to easy to get into ABS, but no over heating problems other than they got a bit deep after 3 back to back sessions. So, I let them cool off for about an hour and i was back out there with no problems at all! Im sure some brake ducting will get that taken care of.

Anyways i just wanted to share my experience with who ever wanted to see it and thank Ryan for the amazing help with the suspension, Revworks for helping with the set up of the whole car, and Michael Adkins from Mtuned for keeping my car nice and safe with the track map!

Ok ill shut up now lol heres the video:

I bled the fluid the day before the track day. Amsoil 600 fluid. Fluid has been in for a little over 3 months. It was changed after the first track day, since i boiled it.

The only thing I think is missing from your set-up is ducting.

Yeah, ducts and I'm most likely removing the fog lights and going with the rexspeed fog deletes...That should hopefully take care of all brake issues. But, so far very happy with the way they handled 5, 30min sessions!

hispanicpanic was having issues with his brakes as well, maybe that heavier chassis is part of the problem? He claims it was his ATE 200 and not his stock pads. YMMV

The amsoil brake fluid is great and I've used it for many years.

Once you step up to stickier tires like nt01 or other 100TW tires, you'll find that the st43 won't hold up and you'll need to up the pads to st47 or dtc60.

All depends on your experience level and how hard you drive.
