That because it's such a PITA that you don't even want to think about it afterwards. I changed mine twice within about a two week period (Screwed up the first time).

One of these days maybe I'll do a writeup.

One of these days it might be fun to go to a ProSolo, too. Nice writeup.

Sorry if this is off topic, but when you guys say it's a "PITA", how many hours did it take you? Will the shop manual give a step by step or at least an exploded view? The first Cendiv event isn't until the last week in May and I may want to tackle this before the season starts.

Any of you guys making the National Tour in Toledo, Ohio? or any of the Pro's in MI, OH, or IN? How about Kansas in Sept.?

The first time it took us about 16 hours start->finish. The second time I'm not sure since I did the work by myself over a few evenings. I'm also a very slow, paranoid, methodical worker.

The shop manual shows an exploded kind of view with numbers on each piece indicating the order you should do it in. It doesn't give detailed step-by-step instructions on how to do the install.

Yea, I am alright and the car is getting fixed as well, hoping we'll make the 28th event.

Lateral stud movement also makes sense, and if that is the case, some silicon tape around the studs can cure it easily

I might try it out once we get the car back.
