For those here in the Midwest, GridLife has grown substantially and will be running some Time Attack events. Their big event this year is end of May at Gingerman. I ran with them last year and they really did an outstanding job bringing more value to track days. Lots of music, spectators, companies, and competition all at one track for one weekend.


They have something for everyone. If you are just getting into track events, they have a rookie class and offer instructors to ride along. If you are a pro and think you have what it takes to be the best, then display it in the Time Attack competition.

How much power are you going to be pushing?

 

I haven't looked into Gingerman track at all, so I'll have to check it out, then decide how we want to set the car up. My current setup, with my small HKS turbo, would probably do better than a larger setup.

 

more power is always better isn't it? Compensate for lag with the right foot?

Gingerman is a mix of momentum and HP. I think you'll do just fine with whatever setup you go.

I'm kind of bummed. They already sold out and I'm on a waiting list. I'll be there if a spot opens up.

 

I'll be there running street class. Will be nice to drop the NASA ballast and see what it can do with about 200 less pounds hanging on.
