another death at a DE event

i don't think it's ever a good idea to put a novice in a 500+ hp super car that not even their car. also, from the news video, looks like they were going the opposite direction the track was designed for, and hit the break in the guardrail. usually when they run opposite direction like that, they put concrete barrier and tire wall in front of those guardrail end. RIP

Uh...yaa...
Lets replace toddler shoes with iceskates and then let them walk on nails. Because the chance is so low that the toddler will even stand up right...we should be fiiiine. One of those deals, just the right angle, just the right spot, just the right unsafe car, just the right speed. I'm assuming the insurance company is having a hayday with this, but it is Disney so they'll likely settle.

(i hope they re open soon, so i can look around that race track)

I was under the impression that the Disney world of sports race track would be closing this year. Lack of race spectator parking and noise carrying into the park killed it. Then this is most likely the nail in the coffin of the facility. If I'm not mistaken it's been some time since a race was held there, IRL maybe?
