Grip and oiling
So i have 295's on my evo and it seems i'm able to generate more grip on my ad08's than other cars with R comps in smaller tire sizes. This starts to make me question the capability of my oiling system. I've got 3 track weekends on these 295's and i guess my question is, at what level of grip is it necessary to upgrade your oiling system from the stock setup? I know MAP is releasing a baffled pan, and moroso i believe offers something as well.
I'm only pushing 300 wheel fwiw, so powering out of corners isn't too crazy.

i have tracked the evo for over 4 years on stock oil pan and hoosier rcomp tires. i have the Kiggly and notice an improvement in oil pressure during cornering.

the buschur pan is not designed for road racing. there has been mention of maybe a 5psi increase in oil pressure during cornering. i bought one, did some tests with water...and then sold it. if you look at it the baffling is all in the acceleration axis of force.

I run a 255 tire with 140tw, but I do worry about Riverside turn at BW and nearly all of Willow Springs.

With a 255 tire, i would hardly worry about oil starvation. But my only experience is in an X, so...... To reiterate, my 180 tw 295 section width tires are exceeding corner speeds of fully built e92 M3's on 275 Rcomps, Spec honda hatches on 225 slicks, and most porches that don't run slicks. I've had instructors ask me what tire i run, and when i tell them its not a slick they don't believe me. I havn't had a single rider yet say something about the grip levels of my evo. And it just occured to me recently that i might really be F'ing myself on oiling and i don't even know it.

I only have empirical data for my car, but 2.3 w/o balance shafts, ported oil filter housing and softer spring, kiggly hla, and 1/2qt extra fluid.
On track with 275 RA-1s my pressure (gauge watched) doesn't have any drop on right hand corners (it was the long corners I was able to watch on). Riding shotgun in my car at AutoX with 285 hoosier A6s, pressure follows RPM without dropping from starvation at any point.
That's not to say there isn't a circumstance that my car would oil starve, but so far I haven't found it.
