ACT HD with a 6 puck. I've been using them for years with no issues, so I stick with them.
I occasionally autox, a few trips around town, but mostly it's road raced on.

The clutch didn't come apart, but there were cracks clean through. Way more than surface cracks. I stuck a rod bearing at nats that year, which is why I had it apart. If I can find a pic I will post it.

On the ACT with resurfaced stock flywheel since it was mainly DD at the time. Track and weekend car now with no issues for about 3 years now.

exedy twin hd as well - though when it comes time to rebuild, I can swap it to the "sd" version right? kind of overkill for 300whp, but it's a carry over from my 450whp days

Yea, it's just the cover that different. The HD has a higher clamping force.

Per the picture, it does appear to have cracked...lol. That's pretty serious stuff. A bit scary to think it was probably about ready to frag if you hadn't pulled the motor for that rod bearing and caught it..

I've run a 6 puck ACT sprung for about a year @ 450-500whp with a lot of abuse and a few track days.Shifts well and no issues. Pulling the engine soon after one more trip to the drag strip. 10K miles total.

nice - HD was definitely overkill for this car, SD will probably be too but I'm sure the action will be a lot better

Had an ACT HDSS and eventually replaced it with an XTSS. So far 3 years of abuse on the XTSS and doesn't lock me out at autox cause 2nd is short shifted and tracks are slow shifted. Could see having issues drag racing but that's not a concern of mine.

The HDSS didn't fail. I replaced the disc just because when I had the trans out after 2nd year of use. Well through heat cycles everything wears and deforms in a similar fashion and a new disc was not. So I had it wear on only the outer inch and it slipped pretty bad.

I don't beat on the car as hard as others, Pro's I shoot for 1.7-1.8 60fts cause I give a generous rollout before dropping the clutch.
