The slots don't matter. If the rotor has directional vanes, that matters. But if theyre just slotted, they're not directional.

Same direction for girodiscs regarding the slots. But the veins are directional and oriented correctly.

same with racing brake rotors, veins goes one way and slot goes other way. maybe to reduce chance of slot landing on weak point of the vein if they were same direction?

Well, glad we all got the orientation of rotors correct...

Now, back to actual brake kits.

Anybody have feedback on the Stoptech Trophy kit?

I guess this is the discuss anything other than the actual topic thread, lol.

I use aluminum hub rings in the rear that I got from ebay with zero issues on track.

So, I talked to my friend that has a X. Stock motor, MHI18k, makes 450whp on 23psi track tune. He runs ST43's with racing brake center mount 2pc rotors. When pushing the car, he can get the brakes to give up after ~4 laps. He's also running 275 NT01's and Ohlins with 10/10 springs.

So, he'll be interested to see what you go with and how it works. I think ducting would help both of you. A brake kit with a 6 piston caliper (for a bigger pad) would help too. And most of them will also have a true 14" rotor, which will help a little bit. The stock rotor is "only" 13.8"

Are all EvoX 2pc rotors? If not Id think 2pc rotors, ss pistons, and ducting would take you a long way.

Obviously is going to be different depending on the track. Thunderhill East is a horsepower and braking track for sure. I now hit 132mph in the front straight (up from low 12Xmph with oem turbo) and it has more in it but I have been braking early as I re-learn the car.

What fluid has he been using and what is giving up on him after 4 laps? pedal feel? braking torque?

We e both running project Mu G4, I'm pretty sure the pedal goes away on him, and brake torque does drop some. This is at Chuckwalla and SMMR Mansel layout. Both have a few high speed braking sections and aren't super easy on brakes.
