Question about rear diff and wheel lift

Just curious on what happens.

Rear diff LSD, what does the rear inside tire do when it's lifted off the ground?

So in my case, I was doing a turn around, started to accelerate before the car straightened out, when the car straightened out, the inside tire landed and did a little jerking.

Will the outside tire react different if the inside tire isn't lifted?

Here is the video, happens at the 26 second mark.

Thats the OE Diff without disc restack? I'd guess its not locking up as quickly or strongly as it should and spinning that inside tire. Try re-stacking or getting a 12plate diff if budget/rules permit.

So from previous comment the outside tire is supposed to lock up since it has all the traction and the inside basically not spin at all then?

Coming from miata LSD info, the clutch type diffs should not send power to the lifted wheel. So, I believe you are correct

Also, I had a similar problem with my stock diff setup, the car would wobble left and right when the rear tire came back down. I think it was the torque split balancing back out. The 12-plate dif kit fixed that for me. Food for thought

yea, technically speaking, a clutch diff should only send power to the wheel on the ground. same situation as if one wheel were on ice - clutch diffs will send power to the wheel with grip. it's not perfect, depends on lock up, etc. if you're not drifting/powersliding, which you weren't, likely the inside wheel struggling as it gains traction and receives power, is my guess
