Which tires for a wet track day?
Got my first track weekend of the year this weekend on the Shenandoah Circuit and there is a 50% chance of showers both days. I am bringing two sets of tires -- a set of Dunlop Star Spec 2s with about 8 track days and a few thousand street miles on them (255 40 17s on 17x9.5s), which are down to the wear bars, and an almost new set of Michelin 4Ss (245 45 17s on 17x8.5s). Which would you use if its wet but not actively raining? If it's raining, then for sure the Michelins, but I'm not sure if the track is just wet. The Michelins are supposed to be pretty good on track except for overheating (which shouldn't be an issue in the wet), right? The Dunlops are awful on the street when it's decently raining. I can't even maintain 50 mph without hydroplaning. And I don't have ABS...
Thanks for any tips.

RA1 was actually the first comp tire I put on my Evo back in 2004. I think tire technology has advanced so that the 200tw tires are better in dry and wet, but maybe that’s not the case. Today, I ended up swapping on my 4Ss and they worked well in the rain at full tread depth.
