For sure. Played with those at Daytona on a test day and they literally suck you into them on those banks.

we had some more plans for the car but i sold my house that had the shop we worked in so now the winter and next summer project is build a new shop to work on the car. not super excited but it will open up options for future modifications. a big one is flat bottom the car. a lift will help a lot with that.

Awesome! Ya way more pics and detail lol. I also wanted to build my "red barn" with the trailer doors being a direct pull through so it makes it a "drop and go to bed" effort rather then having to always unload everything of value in the dark. Why the 2 post and the scissor? As nice as an alignment rack is to have Or is this a 5klbs post and a 15klbs scissor kinda deal.

Also consider a car port on the side about 15ft wide and 10ft tall the depth of the building. It will come in handy.

models in Sketchup - pretty close to reality. there was a blue evo with a wing and front aero but it kept crashing the model???

the pull through was key IMO. its going to be so nice to load up for a race and not be out in the hot sun sweating then hop in the truck for a 9 hour drive.

2 post is a given IMO for most car stuff. my dad has a little recessed scissor lift that is super handy for brakes, wheels, etc. figured it would be cool for sleds and rzr's as well. and its so much easier to make the provisions for a recessed now that later. also i wanted that bay open to pull into the paint/wash/carbon room so it its recessed that would be nice.

"Also consider a car port on the side about 15ft wide and 10ft tall the depth of the building. It will come in handy." - what do you mean by that? the building is being built now and delivered in a couple weeks so making changes now will require modification when its on site.

i had one on the side of the shop in an earlier rev but the door bids go so high i dropped the side door and wend 14' wide on the pull through as a "compromise"

Not exactly like this but close:

It provides a shaded place to wash, pressure wash, wax, build, spray paint, paint long boards, grill, chill, etc esp when something's in the way in the main bay. My idea was to also consider when, not if really, a second trailer or RV or dad's RV or something big and long wants to park without having to mess with going "in" the garage. OR, a place to put my main trailer while I'm working on something else long and tow-able inside. This is also complimented by adding a couple 50 amp plugs back there. It would also be framed in such a way that it wouldn't cost too much to enclose and insulate if that ever became a requirement. Right right now, all they would have to do is add the footers, framing, and extend the roof line, easy things to do "while your in there" but you tell us

Had a breakthrough yesterday with ACD and ABS.

I deleted my ABS system a while back. left the ECU in there however. but recently the ECU stopped working also which was throwing an ACD fault code.

I followed the info on here about deleting the ABS ECU and it says to ground the comms wire to ground and it will carry on working as it should.
Turns out this information is incorrect. for JDM evo 7 at least anyway.

Evo 7 ACD ecu is looking for a voltage of .5v TO the ACD ecu. and if it doesnt see this voltage and then see it go away again within a certain time it throws a fault code. A friend of mine helped me out to design a little circuit with some diodes and capacitors and resistors to simulate this voltage of .5v and then turn off as a bit of an experiment to see if we can trick the ECU into believing the ABS computer is there.

And it worked!

Haha awesome. I had similar friend help me make a small circuit to simulate the rear o2 sensor wire voltage back in '07 before you could do it with the ECU. Had a heat sink on it and everything. Before I tucked it away everyone (non car people) thought it was a "boost booster" lol.

Project evo

I bought my first evo, which the crank walked. I have it fully tore down, just trying to figure what parts I want to go with to try to make 500 ish hp and have it reliable. I was think of going with a 6266 turbo.
