Unless I'm wrong and it actually makes a bigger difference than I think.

It slings more oil up to the pinion bearings, and gets more oil into the clutch plates for the diff. I would not forego it.

This thread sorta died.

I enlisted some help to get my car together since I'm limited to one arm.

I've been sidetracked pursuing another vehicle, so the Evo has been on a period of stasis. Taking it to Sonoma next weekend, though.
Next project will be installing one of @ayoustin 's splitters.
After that, a diffuser. After that? I dunno....

Yeah Jason. In the same boat sort of.

Been re-exploring a shelved hobby so the EvO just sits on the tender. I did run it yesterday & put a full heat cycle into it but my interest has slowed for the moment

Thread title updated for the Fall season

I've even considered selling to get the "'new" car, then go another route because Evos are going for stupid prices. No way is pay today's prices. If sell... Man, I'd lose so much $$$$

It did before. But I wouldn't mind having something N/A, for simplicity sake.

I love my Evo as a track car but not a street car. I almost wish that it weren’t worth so much because I’m starting to worry more about risking it on track and devaluing it with irreversible mods. I really want to put in a front cage (half cage now), but that’s spending thousands to cut the value of the car by even more thousands. But I don’t want to sell it either.

Value, shmalue. I've enjoyed my car most, once I stopped worrying about saving it for someone else. I've cut, bent, and tweaked the Hell out of mine and loved every minute of it. I cut a slot in the hood for the tow hook. Don't care. I still have the slot in the front bumper from when I had a tow strap. Don't care. I trimmed my bumper cover to fit the tires. Not caring. It's my car and I'm going to enjoy it best I can.
As for daily driving it, that I couldn't do, unless I had left it all alone. Maaaaybe then.

Do you guys think the car would be more repairable after a track crash if it had a full cage? I’ve seen caged cars take some pretty big impacts and look remarkably intact afterward.

Yes especially if your cage ties all the strut towers together.

You planning on crashing for fun or something?

Re assembled my sequential last night and bolted it all together, had to strip it down as the magnet had fell out of the drain plug and a slither of metal had got caught inside the selector drum and burred it. had to strip down and remove the burrs and modena asked me to clearance the barrels of the shifter forks by .1mm while they were out as they have changed their measurements post my version.

I really really need to get my hands on a pair of axles!! Does anybody have any lying round or have contacts with TRE or anything?
