Funny enough, I was just talking to Dallas about a dry dump setup today. I’ve got all the usual tricks done already plus a 3qt accusump. I’ll get the car running first and then decide what to do about the oil pan. I bought the AMS/Moroso pan 4-5 years ago before anyone realized it didn’t offer any protection for lateral loads.

Took apart my Mfactory metal plate front diff to check some things before sending to Jon and glad I did. Prying apart the ramp bodies to check the spring sizes thinking I might be able to put in lighter springs, I found the housing is cracked in this corner at all 4 springs.. EEEK! Possibly dodged a bullet with finding this and not losing an entire T-case.

Yeah I am on the TRE modded GIken rear, OEM torsen, and for this event I switched back to the ER ACD tune. I never got any really clean laps - I haven't been to a NASA event in a really long time, so I started in HPDE1. While I was able to get checked off into HPDE2 during my second time out, I am still stuck with the HPDE1 crowd for the rest of the day. I'm going to take 2 sessions in the M3 tomorrow and 2 sessions in the Evo. I did have one lap that was relatively clean, was about a second off my PB. The car feels faster, I just haven't worked up to the same cornering speeds yet. I switched from Girodisc S/S to ST43s, and while the ST43s bite harder, it's way, way, way harder to get a light trail brake in.

The rear diff feels good - it didnt feel like it was doing anything before this, now it feels like it's getting power down and helping push the car forward.

Winter projects for me will be getting SSB rear uprights and front control arms installed, gauges completed, and finish with the rocker/lifter swap I started a little while back.

Also very seriously considering ordering a 95 Evo 3 from Japan, because I'm a glutton for punishment...

Only 6 more years till we can import R34! They also made LHD R34s for EU IIRC, thats what I'd want for sure.

Cant go wrong with a skyline, but im an evo nerd. Early evos are far less common in the US. Plus drivetrain wise its a familiar prospect and parts from DSMs are relatively plentiful.

No LHD R34s GT-Rs.
Was never imported to EU.
And, to be honest, if you ever watch Best Motoring Videos on track, even V-Spec R34 is not faster (stock to stock) than contemporary Evo 5, 6 and 6.5.
They are Grand Touring cars, and that they do quiet well.
