The angle of the shock to the mount is the main issue. As you have experienced with your setup. I think we are going to try and move the trailing arm mount to get the wheelbase back to OEM (because of the lowering is over 1/2 longer), then we are going to correct the shock mounting angle on the top mount some.
Stock, the evo has a ton of anti squat geometry in the rear trailing arm (look at the angle of it). Lowering it will push the wheel rearward and a quick little geometry check looks like it could be around 0.25". Maybe a little more considering the upper arm is also slightly tilted.
I have measured it at around .5" on our car. It is very noticeable when viewed from the side of the car. Nothing is stock, bushings, trailing arms etc, so who knows but either way it has to be fixed we need more turns!

Do you have the OEM trailing arms are RTErnie? Im wondering if not OEM if they are of in length a touch. Could be worth checking at least. A tiny bit longer mixed with lowering could combine to be an issue for you.

Its possible they might be a little longer, and I may even shorten them. But without a good alternative they will be staying on the car. The geometry is easy enough to correct.
My winter plans aren’t too serious compared to you guys. I need to plan which events I’m doing to have the funds there. I plan on doing gridlife this year. Based on my current mods I need to buy another set of wheels to be able to run the 255 that’s required.
I’m upgrading my oil cooler and would really like to do a DIY splitter. I’ve seen EGBeater’s thread and honda-guy’s. Any other good DIY resources out there?
I started with birch back in the day. Easy to work with and very effective and now use Alumalite I buy from a sign shop for $75 (5x10 6mm). Professional awesome was running a wood splitter at SLB this year.
I like working with alumalite better, but it doesn't take nearly the beating that a good ol' sheet of plywood can take IMO. I have no problem grinding down some birch on course.

its basically a foam core fibreglass reinforced board. I think they make boats out of it n stuff? If your interested ill ask dad specifically what its called. Its light as hell and pretty damn strong. Very similar to honeycomb.
