Buttonwillow update:

• New track will be called "The Circuit at Buttonwillow". The orig track is now named "The Classic"
• Paving will start in approx 3-4 weeks
• Tesla charging stations in place & operational (likely required for the new track permitting? See pic below)

 

Sigh. Because clearly Cali has the power grid to support even more of those right

 

It has its own Tower and garages?

 

Surprised in todays world that they were able to pull off a new track in Calif. My good guess is that the charging stations were required?

I am so ready for a new track so close to home. I love having the benchmark that is CW13, but variety is good.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if they were also required to put solar panels up as part of the permitting process. CA is heavy on pushing solar for new construction. Solar is actually a good match for daytime vehicle charging like this.

 

Not a new track, but NJMP is paving Thunderbolt and making it so they can have three different configurations.

Related trivia: some guys I know that run the local shop (and built my oil pans) just set the RWD track record at the GTA finals. Congrats to those guys.
I wish I had a larger budget so I could play, too.
