2 important updates in my region (Auto club & BWP)

• Looks like Fontana (Auto Club Speedway) will be no more in regards to HPDE's. Not sure if the 1/4 mile strip will change (Short oval in the works) Many articles / heres one: https://jalopnik.com/nascar-is-turni...ack-1845035491

• BWP (Button Willow) New track under construction to compliment the existing track. There will be 2 tracks. Heres the layout:

Well, Shaaat!!! Been HPDE'g with SpeedVenture's every year & this will likely cancel them out of Fontana

Will have to see how this affects SCCA & AX there? And the 1/4 track?

Good news on BRP. 2 distinct tracks. Its just a bit of a drive for me

For anyone who hasn't seen it, a new track is being built in Gravois Mills MO called Ozarks International Raceway. It's about halfway between STL and Kansas City. Looks like it's going to be a great track with many configurations and some solid facilities.

Do you know exactly where its at? I searched it & cant find the exact location. May relocate to Missouri & this looks interesting. Looks like some elevation changes as well

I don't know the exact location but I've heard it's somewhere off highway 135? I'm not familiar with the area so i don't know where that would be.

They have a facebook page and it's gotten a ton of attention the past week. They have some construction photos and the elevation looks wild.

I never got to do the Roval. Had plans this year, but work killed that. Sooo close to so many things this year..all fell through.

I've heard it's pucker worthy. 😂 My buddy says he was in a four-wheel drift in his Miata at 1xx MPH. Crazy. I'd like to have seen how fast I would have dared gone.

It just takes time on the track & you would have been as fast as your EvO was set up for!

I'm pretty excited about the prospect of another track in MO. Was looking forward to trying the Gateway Motorsports track but this seems like it would blow it out of the water.

For sure. From the sounds of it Gridlife is in talks with the track owners about doing a competition event there so I may be there next season or the season after!
