I agree. Thanks.

Zebulon came in at:
* $2250 front splitter
* $2550 rear wing

Assuming those are custom built carbon pieces, that's not an unreasonable quote by any means.

And I agree with what @Abacus is saying. Get a standalone sooner than later. My Haltech Elite 1500 setup was under $2k all said and done including a handful of extra goodies to go along with it and it works with the factory wiring harness as a plug n play and can also accept a mil spec harness if I ever build a custom harness for the car in the future. The benefits you gain for $2k far surpass nearly anything else you can do for that amount of money, especially when you're talking about a car that's already set up like yours is.

That sounds awesome! What benefits can you reference that make the money well spent? I haven’t put much time into learning the software options since I tune the sh_ _ out of stock ECU. I would like the color digital dash and more gauges and alarms for oil pressure etc. That much I know.

The failsafes alone are worth the investment on a built motor, IMO.

Live calibrations changes mean you don't have to flash the ecu to see how changes affect it running
Easy flex fuel capability
Traction control
Any safety you can imagine
Full time closed loop fueling
The ability to adjust anything with physical knobs (trim modules)
Has an onboard MAP sensor which can be used for baro compensation
MUCH higher resolution of data when datalogging
Can easily log data and is able to store a pretty large amount
Live cell tracing allows you to see what cell (or where between cells) the ecu is using in live time
The ability to use drive by wire
A good amount of analog/digital in and out channels to any pretty much whatever instrumentation you could ever want.

That's just off the top of my head.

Does any stand alone come with a hot blonde in a short skirt who can always program and make adjustments! That’s the one I want.

For real lol.

Upon reading on Hal - it seems the failsafe's are very specific - not included among them was EGT. Or am I just reading this wrong?

I’ll try and take a look. Maybe someone here has experience. I’d like to know which platform is best suited for cars like ours. HAL or AMS.

There are safeties for EGT. EGTs are read over CAN through their EGT module so you have to enable the module in the ESP software. Safeties are easy to setup.

I was gonna say lol. Sucks they don't make the 9 harness new anymore for AEM's too. What's the main diff between the 15 and 2500's?

Everybody seems to be jumping ship from AEM stuff. I've had 3-4 friends drop AEM for another standalone in the past year.

Speaking which, you should add "brackets" for the 3 Bar Motorsport MAP Sensor to the list along side that flex one you or another one of us makes.

I have the Hal too, it's saved me already, so +1 for fail safes.

It's also attached to my AIM MXG. You can set parameters there to see that everything comes to temp, or goes out of range. Another cool feature is the track maps. Which it load when you get to the track which knows via GPS. ...and will show you your fast lap, fast corners, an stitch them together to show your fastest possible lap.

Got a picture of the sensor you're talking about? I know there's a few options for adapters that adapt NPT to the factory MAP connection.

So I'm just trying to piece the kit together in my head. First it makes us use the 2500 over the 1500 because of "9". On the surface it "sounds like" it'll use the stock MAF, but then why would it include an AIT sensor right. So if it has to use MAP, why not use the MS grade ones over the GM one. What all is in your parts list?
