Ahh, I see the sensor now. Yea I could definitely make an adapter for that.

What I have right now is the following:
  • Elite 1500
  • WB01 CAN wideband
  • CAN expander module
  • Rotary trim module (for on the fly boost adjustments)
I haven't bought all my sensors yet but the plan is to retain my Omni 4 bar and get Haltech oil pressure, fuel pressure and oil temperature sensors.

You can run an evo 9 on a 1500. I know a guy who's done it. They have the 2500 listed because they assume it's a full trim street car with AC and evap etc. so those take up extra channels.

I linked the Haltech pinouts for the 8 and 9 ECUs in another thread. Like Austin said, the official Haltech Evo 9 adapter uses the extra I/Os on the 2500 to operate things like the AC, evap, and check engine light. If you're going full race car you can make the 1500 work on a 9.

If I was doing it, I'd just get the 2500 for a 9 so I didn't have to customize anything I could re-use the ECU later if I upgrade to a 6 or 8 cylinder car. The price difference is only $475.

But for just a few hundred a month more (for the next 12 months) you could have a Motec M150

This is how slippery slope works

sequentials are weirdly expensive.

You can can buy a Yamaha YXZ SS that comes with a sequential transmission, paddle shifters, install a factory turbo, and a factory warranty for around 20k. so you end up with 1700lb sequential paddle shift machine with 200hp for around the same price as a transmission for an evo... it’s crazy.

If Xshift could sell as many aftermarket sequential transmissions as Yamaha sells YXZs, we'd probably have cheap sequentials available.

I'm mostly surprised that there is enough market demand to support multiple aftermarket transmission companies.

That engine/trans is based on the 3 cylinder Yamaha uses in street bikes and PWC's. Pretty large production numbers vs an Xshift box.

I always pride myself if I wasn’t spending money on my EVO, I would be spending more money on women. Seems like my cost-to-fun ratio is getting a lot closer.......and maybe even cheaper for the women. 😂
