Salvageable?

I just found my OEM driveline in my backyard LOL
apparently the plastic got removed from the end and there is quite a bit of surface rust.
there doesn't seem to be any pitting, but what are the odds of a seal working on this, once cleaned up?
I'm thinking it's trash.

I think its salvageable Jason. Looks like surface rust only. Its likely those journals are not just simple mild steel but a high grade steel that resists not just wear but corrosion damage.

Definitely salvageable and i learned along time ago throwing away/selling evo parts at low prices just to get rid of them is a huge mistake. That looks like oxidation rust and can be clean off and made like new no problem.

I stuck it in storage for now. I'll run out, clean it, and cover it back up.

thanks, guys.
