1st time autocrossing

I autocrossed for the first time last week with the Evo. I used to run an 87 GT open track about 5yrs ago. Then I was shipped off to Japan and tried drifting, so it was my first actual autocross. As far as handlin mods i have a cusco lower front sb, and a cusco rear triangle sb, braided brake lines and dunlop sp sport fm901 tires.
Last week I had the 4th fastest time and 3rd fastest car. Stock mini cooper s on slicks ran slightly faster than me. But I beat two sponsored subbies!! Both were running 'street legal' tires with full suspensions.
The very next day I went to MIR on a hot day and ran 12.6x@108.
Two days ago I did autocross again. I'm not sure how I placed but the car didnt' handle as well, loads of understeer. Increased tire pressure, still had understeer but not as bad. Times should be posted later this week.

Thats the link to last weeks autocross, I'm 4th overall cooking some subbie butt!

Hey ldstang50,

Come on out and watch at the SCCA autocross on Oct. 3 at FedEx Field in Landover MD.

http://solo.wdcr-scca.org/

You won't get to drive (unless you're an SCCA member and you register like right now - one slot left as I write this), but you can probably catch a ride-along. I see four Evos and and least three STis entered, all of them running in the afternoon.

See http://www.autocrossers.com/ for other local events. Not too many events left this year, but plenty of slots available for the Oct. 10 event.

You're picture did load. its a good shot of you going throught the slalom.
Kwman:
I really want to road race the car, but the thought of wrecking hard just has me too scared to bring it out. When I get another car that can get me around I'll do that, most def.
As for now, I'm ordering a few go fast goodies, shooint to become fastest stock turbo evo in america. 11.58 or bust! Well hopefully not bust. And hoping to improve on my 60' times with more power.
Oh the times got posted at the same sight as i posted above, for the autocross this past weekend. I had 4th fastest time and 3rd fastest car again. The subbie that beat me this week had sway bars and two really really good drivers in it. Biggest thing that car did was not understeer.
