i think every customer should be notified of any test drive before hand. here's what i was taught in college: test drives after alignments are only necessary on FLAT ground, not a crested road, and usually a small parking lots is enough to check. if its a custom alignment then the OWNER needs to test drive it and make sure it is to their liking. test drives for special circumstances like after suspension work or to find a noise bang or knock are necessary and happen often, but the customer is always to be notified before hand. If the customer isn't comfortable with a technician driving their car don the road, the technician may ride along and customer may drive.
I prefer things be done that way.
of course looks like nobody does it this way, so i try and remember to request my car NOT be driven without me in it or I am to drive it anywhere it goes outside of the parking lot or property.
...ha, i wanted the thread deleted cause the title makes me look like a horses a$$. but ok i can laugh at it.
