its a little long, but great statistics on how to change some 'risky' Evo owners' behaviors
even at my age, I'm amazed at my susceptibility to peer pressure
thus my preaching to---------'$track the car before $modding the car'-----autocross, MSR, etc..learning the car at its limits...it is great fun,but only on-the-track
http://sadd.org/oped/chasingcars.htm
closing paragraph..
What’s their responsibility?
Research shows that young drivers may be more likely to listen to their friends than to adults – so teen passengers need to be empowered to speak up when drivers are placing them, and others, at risk.
But, ironically, that may be easier said than done.
Despite the fact that so many teens feel that so many behaviors are dangerous, only about half of teens (57 percent) say they would ask a driver to stop engaging in even the most serious behaviors, such as street racing. Sad when you consider that most teen drivers say that if their friends asked, they would stop racing (87 percent), speeding (79 percent), text messaging (80 percent), or talking on a cell phone (68 percent).
Speaking up about slowing down will fuel peer-led persuasion to stop teens from chasing cars.

steps 15/16
and ya if you do a buncha stuff to em their quick but turbo kits aren't bolts on imo.
then again s2ks are cheap so you could probably just dump money into it seeing how the evos are $$.

JJ used to have an S2k. I think he really liked it.

There's a turbo S2k that comes to the S2k autocrosses and it's very quick!

Yes, I did love my S2000 and I'd probably still be driving it but some F***stick side swiped me in Houston. Hit and run. Bottom line, they had to weld an entire new rear quarter panel on, and of course once you damage the frame on a car it will never be the same. Traded it in 1 day after I got it back from the body shop for the EVO. Kinda a blessing in disguise, forced me to get a four door car.
I miss dropping the top at night. Thats the best. Also, the Kraftswerks supercharger for the S2000 is ridiculous. One guy in Houston had the kit and his car was sick fast.

s2000's are really fun, not the power of the EVO but can do well. I have both and I can't seem to get rid of the S2000, I have thought about selling it and there are days where I feel like keeping it. I have had plans of boosting it as well later in the future but who knows. Its alot easier to drive the EVO hard than the s2000 though
