Turning boost down without retune?
Hey everybody. I just installed my intercooler and upper pipe and can't seem to get the clamps tight enough. The coupler keeps popping off the intake side of the intercooler when I go above 20psi. I have tried everything I can think off. Super-tighten the worm clamp. I got a t-bolt clamp from autozone (it is too big and it sucks anyways). I even tried two clamps. But every time I hit about 23 psi, BAM! off goes the lower pipe and slams into the ground.
I'm heading back to Lubbock tomorrow and I have to take the Evo. Is it OK to turn the boost down to like 15psi just to keep my lead foot from blowing the pipe off? I have a Hallman MBC.
Thanks

Thanks for the responses. I'll turn it down when I get home tonight.
I got the AMS intercooler and the lip on the pipe sucks. I'm kinda surprised. I think I also need to adjust my LICP to sit closer to the intercooler.
I'll be getting some t-bolt clamps when I get back. I just don't have time before I leave tomorrow.
KevinD, add some clamps to my order.
