hehe peaceful morning. I was getting ready to go play in the water a bit and WHAM!

Our neighbor ran into the condo, breaking a water line. Now without water, I'm glad I am going on a fishing trip this afternoon!

woot. two red snapper (the limit), some other kind of snapper (edit, it's a lane snapper) and a nice sized trigger fish. Not too shabby!

Wow nice catch and a nice beach. That string through the eyes looks like it might hurt.

awesome catch man..that red snapper is delicious!

Theres alot of amberjack in those waters too.

quick question i always wondered when i go back, i drove the first time. if you go deep sea fishing and catch some fish, how will you fly it back safely on the plane?

You drive there and back... sheesh, it's only 12 hours

You pack it in dry ice and you put it into a cooler and tape the cooler. At that point you might be able to take it on the plane or you fedex it overnight home.

Personally, I just fried up two of the fillets for lunch and will grill two more (the little ones) for dinner with a steak, salad and beer. I had so much fish cooked at lunch that after I ate, Amy ate and Ethan ate, I walked down the beach and was giving the fish away (I'd cubed it, breaded it and fried it). Was good stuff!

Condo > hotel room!

(and cheap fishing trips are $45/4 hours, so it was a great time/value)

few miles at most.... the water off destin gets deep really fast, so you can catch the good ones within sight of shore.

I got a buddy here in Houston that does deep sea fishing charters and they go out like 60 miles. I can't imagine that, all you see in water.

well he's likely going for the really big fish. To get those here you need to go out farther as well. Since this was a party boat on a short trip they kept you close in to maximize the fish:drive ratio.
