Just moved here from Oklahoma City
Hey. I moved down here with the company I work for. I manage a water damage restoration & remodeling co. Currently living in Keller in a rental house and working in Southlake. I do not currently have an Evo, but really wanting to get back in to one. I had a GG IX w/ 35R turbo and supporting mods with AEM EMS. Sold that and bought a RR 8 and went crazy. It had a Buschur 2.3 stroker, built head, Jun cams, Shearer T67 turbo, AEM EMS, 10/8 an ss fuel lines, 1600 CC inj, E85, DI manifold, Race fmic, Sparktech COP, black Volk LE37 w/ Nitto 555r drag radials, etc. You get the point. Well, long story short, the motor blew on a low boost pull against a Cobra at the top of fourth gear. The motor had very low miles on it. I had problems with the motor ever since it was built. I ended up putting the car back to stock, with a used motor and sold it. It was costing me too much money. I do miss it like crazy though. At 33 lbs it was putting down around 650 whp.
I never got to turn it up to 40 psi like I wanted to. I raced a friend of mine in his Evo that was dynoed at 600 on Buschurs dyno and pulled on him pretty hard. Anyway, I really want another Evo, but since I will be buying a house in a year I need to save every penny for a decent down payment. I decided to rent a house for now since I don't know where the wife and I want to live. Any ideas? I really like Valley Ranch, but it seems very expensive. Would like to meet you guys some time and look forward to getting back in the game. I still wonder how I'll ever be able to build another Evo to the level I had the 8 at with the emissions/inspections down here. Thanks guys.

i live in valley ranch, there is a house about 6 down from mine for sale
although i think my neighbors already hate evos
as for building a bad *** car that can still pass emissions, just leave the stock ecu on it. we can build you a car with for the most part the same power level, just without the AEM. the stock ecu will start much faster, cruise and driveability will be better, and you'll be able to pass emmissions. our race car is similiar to your 2.3L build, its on stock ecu, made 581whp at 29psi when we ran out of fuel. we are hoping for 35+psi and it should put down 650whp still with the stock MAF in place. let me know if i can help you with anything though!

Cool. It seems like a pretty nice area here. Man are the houses close together though. I am not used to that.
I have yet to see any Evos. Been here 3 weeks now. If I do it's going to make my wait even harder.
Thanks. I talked to you a few times in pm's before I moved here. Looking forward to meeting you. I'm sure I'll be in need of your services when the time comes.
I'm hoping to make some good money here. It's a big enough place.
Good advice. I have a year to decide once my lease is up.
I hope I get one to. Sooner than later. Where is the scene on the weekends? I heard Beach St. I'd like to check it sometime.
