Hey sean, how is the sensor and unit working out? Any issues with it or the likes? Also please pm me where you got the sensor.

I got the sensor used off a guy on here.

It's fine... pretty expensive setup honestly just for a number and a warm fuzzy.

E78/79 @ 121/Coit today.

Has anyone gotten up to Martin Eagle Oil in Denton to find out the E% from their pump?

Whats the mileage difference between E85 and regular gas you guys are getting? I know E85 gets worse gas mileage but is justified by normally being cheaper. But is the cost really justified? Take power out of the equation.

I'm getting 190-200 miles on a tank (12.0-12.3 gallons).

I was getting 230-240 for almost 12 gallons.

In your new vehicle, which can run on 87 octane and gets NO power boost from running E85, it likely will not be a good idea to run E85 (financially). Another thing is that constantly switching back and forth in a flex fuel vehicle has been seen to cause issues on those cars. Pick a fuel and stick with it is my opinion.

I should be making the change to E85 in the next week with the Evo race car. I went by the Kroger Sachse and bought a sample and tested with one of the manual measuring tubes with the following result:

4/26/2010: Kroger Sachse E81/82 ($2.29/ gallon)

I actually just filled up with it this morning, so I can swing by sometime and get a reading of it. It's 2.39 for e85 in Denton which is 40 cents cheaper than the regular unleaded, at that location in Denton.

I put gas in my tank and as it goes through the fuel system it measures the ethanol content.
