I moved to Austin a few months ago. I was wondering how strict they are here about emissions testing for inspection?

 

you might want to post in the south forum because most everyone that post here is in DFW. Up here, they just check the usual lights, brakes, horn, etc. Then plug into OBD2 port and if you dont have any codes you are good to go! Occasionally you'll get someone that is picky about tint.... I used to live in austin but we didnt have emissions tests when I lived there 7 or 8 years ago.

Also were in austin do you actually live? are you actually in austin city limits? My parents live in Leander, as far as I know they dont have any emissions testing still....

 

I live in south Austin on William Cannon.
