who tuned it? 250? thats kinda low for a upgraded turbo. i would get a dp, tp, mbc, then retune. you might need injectors.

i didnt know they had a fp hta white?

why upgrade the turbo without supporting mods? Seems pretty weak, but I wonder what a stock 8/9 makes on their dyno?

the injectors holding you back is one thing, but the FP white was designed for spool up, did you buy it from Laramie? because he bought it from Mark who had it build for autocross and has a 9.0 hotside, aka fast spool. That could explain the somewhat higher torque over the HP. You get that with stock turbos too, but it should be noted that the white is built for spool, not max HP.

for sure get a DP, 02 housing as soon as possible, porting the exhaust maifold will help also, you want everything into and out of the turbo exhaust side to be able to "breath" as much as possible...

what are you doing for boost control? 3port?

Like others have already mentioned you really need to open things up and let your engine breath. An intake pipe with open element filter, MBC, ported exhaust manifold, SS o2 housing, 3" downpipe, and a 3" testpipe would do wonders for your car.

A few links for you:

I find it very hard to believe you were running out of fuel injector with your current setup. I'd maybe believe fuel pump since the VIII pump is smaller than the IX's (the IX pump is proven to flow enough to support over 300whp on a Dyno Dynamics which reads lower than a Mustang), but no way are your injectors even close to being maxed. The stock 560's should be good for at least 325+ on a Mustang dyno. Also keep in mind that indicated IDC in EvoScan is not true IDC.

Hey Jorge, it was great having you out on Saturday. I can't wait to see what that thing can do once you get bigger injectors and maybe a boost controller. (at the very least)
And as far as the dyno, I believe that a stock 8 put down 220whp on our dyno (Kevin can correct me if I'm wrong).

If that's the case... then I dare say with a stock turbo the numbers are good.... upgraded? Not-so-much.

and for the record his IDC was high but not exactly maxed out (95%) but since he has more upgrades to come soon, then Keith didn't feel that there was a reason to push the turbo anymore than what Jorge was happy with.

In this order, here's what you need:

1) upgraded fuel pump
2) manual boost controller
3) O2 housing and downpipe
4) injectors

the fpWhite is a madman - you just need the supporting mods to make it happen. Shore up your fuel delivery and boost control, and you're good to go.

I would like to point out, that though it's probably not important to know, but our Mustang dyno has been proven to read approx 40whp lower than a dyno dynamics
(sorry to go off topic)
