Thanks to PTP

I have noticed some rubbing in the rear on the new tires and decided I needed to have the fenders rolled. I was apprehensive about messing with the new car so soon. I contacted PTP in Fort Worth and was surprised at how quickly they answered emails and returned calls. I talked to Forrest who assured me that the roll could be done without harming the paint. I dropped the car off and about an hour and a half later it was ready to pick up. Leah had to pick up the keys (I was helping a friend out) and they were super nice when she was there, even talking her into taking her car out to an HPDE event. Needless to say the car was perfect, paint looks great and the roll stopped the rubbing.

All I can say is PTP knows what they are doing. The staff is super friendly and their prices are awesome. I know I will be going back to have them help setup my new suspension.

Finally another Evo guy turns to them and gives them the credit they deserve!
PTP is so awesome I'd almost rock a sticker with their logo on it.

Good to hear someone's found these guys.
Last Fall I was talking to Forest and Marc about holding a TechDay there.

Any suggestions on what you'd like to see?
Any preferences times/day? weekday evening or Saturday morning

stwhollywood- We don't typically pull fenders since its very difficult to get the quarter panels to flex without separating the two layers of the panel first. Unfortunately I don't know who to send you to for pulls.

slvrr- We're in Fort Worth, just south of TCU.

We are planning a suspension tech day in the coming months. I've been keeping an eye on the NTEC calendar. We were hoping to have it last month but getting ready for the summer race season was busy. We'll have John Tak, the 2006 BSP Evo Solo Champion, speaking on Evo specifics. We'd be interested in hearing answers/feedback to Kelly's questions.

Not sure on the 8/9, but flaring/pulling the rear fenders on the X is pretty straighforward... No need to separate panels or anything.

The problem lies in the outer panel wanting to buckle very easily. We're not a body shop so we choose not to incur the risk. One Evos and some other cars with squared off fenders it is easier, but still risky.

Sounds like M. Berry is the go to guy for a source

Damn, if there's anything more confusing on a car I don't know what it is. Suspension tweeking is black magic to me. I'll be there to see if I can leave a little less confused

Yes Mark has the source for fender flairing. Jim Harris (previous BSP evo owner) also has a source. If you want the name of the place let me know and ill get it for you. Just know its going to cost $2000 to have it done but it will look perfect.
