Added benefit of reliability... gives a little extra capacity to the fuel system for when they're tuned. It's a nice, cheap safety net.

What silencer were you running on the AMS during the dyno, the tuner disc or the one smaller than that? because it doesn't sound like it was fully open. Pretty good numbers, the torque is nice

There was no silencer. The video makes all the sounds seem quieter then in person. Still, not too too loud.

I had been using the third largest silencer but it developed a nasty rattle and no matter how tight the clamps were it would always rattle.

Hmm yeah it did sound quiet in the vid that's what I was curious. I've got some rattles also but they are equally bad with a disc in or out. I probably need to tighten up the clamps a bit on mine. Catted or test piped?

The tapering is intentional as the turbo is out of its efficiency range at that rpm... additional boost would not yield additional power.
